Beginnings
With the sincere desire to help the lives of troubled girls, the Refuge of Grace Academy (a ministry of Agape Baptist Church) was founded in October, 1994, by Bud and Debbie Martin.
The ministry first began in the Martin’s home in Clinton, Tennessee. After five years in Tennessee, Refuge of Grace Academy realized the need to search for a different, more desirable location. After down-sizing and searching through several states, the ideal location was found. In 2004, Refuge of Grace Academy was moved to Stockton, Missouri.
Today
Refuge of Grace Academy is a full-time Boarding school for girls. Staff at the school provide instruction, leadership and 24 hour oversight of the girls.
Refuge of Grace shares many activities and common values with the nearby Agape Boarding School for Boys.
